The Bowen Boys

It is hard to believe that Collin and Reid are already 3 months old!!  The have grown by leaps and bounds and their little personalities are beginning to shine through.  What a wonderful age, full of discovering things like fingers and toes and something truly magical starts to happen...SMILES!!!
It is hard work getting ONE baby to look in the right direction, but TWO...well, we had our work cut out for us!
It has been such a pleasure to watch them grow through my lens.  The Bowen's have been doubly blessed for sure!  It is amazing to be in the presence of two little identical boys.  I can't wait to watch their bond grow as they go on adventures together...rolling, crawling, and eventually walking and running through the house!

The "Joy" in the Joyner's

The Joyner family arrived a little early and eager to get started with their beautiful blonde haired children.  I am pretty sure if you looked up the word "hilarious" you would probably find a picture of the Joyner family!

It is such a fun job to be a photographer when you have such great entertaining people to capture.  It is always fun to chase children around...that is why I usually wear tennis shoes, tied tight, by the way!
Tim and Kristi are the proud parents of two sweet children, Logan and Makena.  The children are very easy to spot with their gorgeous blonde locks and big blue eyes.  Absolutely adorable is the only way to describe them.

It was a pleasure to spend some time on a beautiful Sunday evening with the Joyner's.  May God bless this special family!

The Belch Family

Sometimes it is hard to even know where to start when you have known a person your whole entire life.  I have known Teresa since before Coca-Cola shirts were popular and perms were "in!"  Teresa and her wonderful family graciously shared part of their Sunday evening with us so we could capture the essence of their family.  Within minutes I knew this was NOT going to be hard to do...because the love and fun were all around them.  I am truly blessed to know this fabulous family!

Teresa, Robbie, and Tucker were complete naturals which makes our job easy.  It isn't very often that we get subjects who seem to know exactly what we are thinking and are so willing to try whatever we suggested.  What an awesome family!!!  I love the way we all just spontaneously bursted out laughing at each other.  Let's just say that the Belch's are hilarious and I can't wait to do more pictures of them.

The Belch's were such a joy to be around and our session flew by.  It felt like 10 minutes and we shared so many giggles and grins along the way.  This is why I love photography.  It is families like this that reaffirm my passion to capture moments and turn them into memories for a lifetime.  So, here's to the Belch's...may their love for each other continue to shine and grow as the years go by!  I have NO doubt that it will!

The Holt Sisters

The Holt sisters are such a ball of fun!  Hannah and Sydney are just a little over a year apart and from a distance you might even think they are twins.  Hannah is the oldest and inquisitive with a great sense of humor, while Sydney is laid back and whitty!  Together, they are absolutely perfect.  We had such fun walking around to find just the perfect spots to capture their special sister bond.
There is nothing like having a best friend for life.  That is pretty much what you get when you are lucky enough to have a sister!  These two are blessed to have each other and I can only imagine the secrets those two will hold for each other in the future and the good times they will share.  Their bond is apparent just by watching them interact.

By the end of the session we had overheard several giggles and witnessed several smiles despite the heat.  There is just something about a child's giggles that will warm your heart, isn't it?  May Hannah and Sydney always share a special bond and may they always have a best friend in each other, no matter how many years pass. I have no doubt that as they grow older they will grow even closer!  As the session came to a close we decided to have them face one another and we ended up getting one of my favorite pictures of the whole day out of it.  Sometimes it is just the innocent expressions that say the most and I love how their bodies made a semi-heart shape.  I think this shot pretty much sums up the Holt sisters!

Chasing Bailey around ECU

I knew exactly what I had to do before I could make this session a success.  Put on my tennis shoes and tie them up tight...a soon to be 19 month old will make you move quick to get the perfect shot.  Bailey was absolutely a joy to "chase" around the campus of ECU.  Her expressions are priceless and her gorgeous blue eyes beckon you to stare into them.  After an evening of "chase," "peek-a-boo," and "bubbles," we successfully captured Bailey.  What a sweet child, full of fun and giggles.  Oh, and I am glad that my shoes were tied tight...

I guess it has been a while since I last chased an 18 month old of my own!  Oh the joys of being this age and what fun it must be.  Every waking moment is about discovering new things and learning about the world around you.

I have always been a firm believer that the eyes are the window to a person's soul.  In this case, I am sure Bailey has a beautiful soul.  Her eyes are perfect and full of love and joy as I notice her gaze upon her parents.  Oh to see the world through her eyes would be a beautiful thing!  As long as there are hair bows, goldfish, and a pacifier, all is right with the world!  Oh, to be a kid again!  It was such a blessing to be able to capture the personality of Bailey!  Here are some more of our favorites..

By the end of the shoot, Bailey was ready to kick off her shoes and spread her toes as she "practiced" walking on a little wall around the fountain.  She did an awesome job at that, I might add!  Thanks to the Fleming family for letting us spend some time with their precious Bailey!!!  We really enjoyed it!
